!!!!! Welcome to TV (Thammasit Vongsetskul) research group !!!!!

TV research group at Mahidol University is engaged in research into two broad fields. 

1. Fabrication and Applications of Nanostructured Materials (Electrospun Ultrafine Fibers in Particular)

Nanofibers fabricated by electrospinning technique are a very interesting class of material as they possess several prominent properties such as high surface to mass ratio, ease to be functionalized, and high porosity. Because of these properties, they can be applied in various applications such as sensor, biomedicine, and tissue engineering. Currently, our research group is interested in the applications of these fibers in several aspects such as drug-delivery system, filtration, and solid phase for immobilizing enzyme.

2. Applications of Polymer-Surfactant Complexes

Water soluble polymers are often included in commercial surfactant formulations. They modify both the surface behaviour and the rheology of the bulk solution. Currently, our research group is interested in the applications of these complexes for improving the stability of bioactive compound-loaded emulsion, and aims to exploit these complexes for encapsulating drug and bioactive compounds.
