Mission

This can be described in three areas:
Teaching:  To provide academic courses at all levels to fully educate students with fundamental knowledge and experience that are vital for their academic and personal growth.
Research:  To conduct high quality research and development in various areas, ranging from basic science to multidisciplinary investigations.
Society:     To give a constructive contribution to society in the forms of active involvement in scientific issues, economic development at local and national scales, and continual promotion of positive social values.
     

Central to a meaningful development of the country are capable, creative, and disciplined individuals. The Department of Chemistry believes such individuals can be cultivated through dedicated teaching and rigorous research activities, in the environment of constructive interactions between students and faculty members.
